PITTSBURGH, PA, FEBRUARY 2020 — FOCUS North America appoints Kenneth Kidd as the Executive Director.  Kidd has served as the Development Director for FOCUS North America for over two years, and has been leading FOCUS in the role of Interim Executive Director for the last eight months.  Brian Bullard, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated, “Under Kenny’s leadership we will be able to grow and expand the impact that FOCUS has in our communities and with those who need help the most.”

Kidd is a native of Charleston, WV and has a Masters of Social Work from West Virginia University. He has 17 years of nonprofit management experience, and over four years leading direct homeless service programs. Kidd received Holy Chrismation into the Orthodox Church at Holy Spirit Antiochian Orthodox Church in Huntington, WV on Holy Saturday, 1997. Since then, he has faithfully served the Church and dedicated his professional life to furthering the good work of Orthodox Christian ministries.

FOCUS provides opportunities for Orthodox Christian Churches and communities to serve Christ through providing food, occupation, clothing, understanding, and shelter to people in need. “As more communities come together to serve our vulnerable neighbors, we are actively building God’s Kingdom as the body of Christ,” says Kidd.

As Executive Director, Kidd is “excited for the opportunity to witness the mission of FOCUS in action as our work continues to touch and transform lives across the country.”

FOCUS North America recently celebrated 10 years as a national movement of Orthodox Christians, united in faith and joined by a desire to provide action-oriented and sustainable solutions to poverty in communities across America. FOCUS has operations and youth volunteer experiences in more than 50 cities in the United States.
