Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral and its parochial school, St. Sava Academy, recently completed a service project to support FOCUS North America by packing food bags for the homeless. The parents and children of the school donated food items and the children, through the coordination of St. Sava’s School Principal, Marko Bojovic and FOCUS volunteer, David Batrich, created 100 food bags that will be distributed throughout the Chicago-area. "One priority of our school’s curriculum is learning through action. What better way for our students to understand Christ's work than to create these food bags for the homeless," said Marko Bojovic. "This was a blessed opportunity for the children to understand how important it is to help those in need and the role that FOCUS plays in our Orthodox faith" said David Batrich.
