The Orthodox Volunteer Corps (OVC) and FOCUS Come Together to Serve in Cleveland

The Orthodox Volunteer Corps (OVC), the newest agency of the Assembly of Bishops, was established to prepare young adults for a lifetime of sharing Christ’s love by helping them to embark on a 10-month journey of service, reflection, instruction, communal living, and immersion in the Church.

OVC’s current cohort recently visited St. Herman House to work alongside our team at FOCUS Cleveland. While there they served a hot lunch, mulched the garden, and joined the community for prayers. OVC Corps members got to spend time with the residents of St. Herman House and meet the many people who rely on FOCUS Cleveland in times of need.

We were blessed to serve alongside OVC Corps members for the day and look forward to many more opportunities to do so in the future.
