This year, FOCUS North America is mobilizing parishes nationwide to help 3,500 students start school strong—equipped not only with backpacks and supplies, but with confidence, dignity, and hope.
Whether you’re serving in your own community or supporting from afar, your participation makes a real, local impact. Each backpack is more than a collection of supplies—it is a tangible expression of love, a reminder that no child is forgotten.
Our goal is to mobilize 60 parishes nationwide and raise $50,000 to make this possible.

THE NEED
Being prepared for school impacts a child’s ability to fully embrace their education. If a child doesn’t have a backpack or the proper school supplies to succeed, this can lead to struggles with self-esteem, academic performance, and attendance. This is a very prevalent and unfortunate reality for the many children experiencing economic insecurity, poverty, and homelessness in America.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
- Express Your Interest:
Begin by filling out the interest form, available via the button below. This will connect you with FOCUS North America, who will provide the necessary resources and support.
- Choose Your Participation Option:
🎒 Backpacks Only: For just $10, you’ll receive empty backpacks along with a detailed list of needed school supplies. This option is perfect for groups or parishes who want to collect supplies locally and assemble the backpacks themselves. The cost covers the backpack and helps support the coordination and logistics that make this program possible.
✏️ Backpacks + Supply Kits: For $25, you’ll receive both the backpack and a complete school supply kit—ready to be assembled and distributed to a child in need. This cost includes not only the items themselves but also supports the FOCUS staff and infrastructure that organize bulk purchasing, packaging, shipping, and delivery logistics across the country. Your contribution ensures efficiency, consistency, and maximum impact in every community we serve.
