FOCUS Orange County Steps Up During COVID-19 Crisis

Glory to God!

FOCUS Orange County recently received a letter from Mark Lowry, Director of Community Action Partnership of Orange County and the OC Food Bank.

When the COVID-19 crisis hit, the OC Food Bank lost over 500 volunteers. FOCUS was the only partner agency that stepped up to continue serving during the initial weeks of outbreak. With only two days notice FOCUS brought 50+ volunteers, each of whom took a calculated personal risk to go against the stay at home orders in order to safely assemble food packages for the local elderly and shut-ins served by the OC food Bank.

For those of you reading this who were part of those first volunteer groups – thank you! We are posting Mark’s letter below because his words are for you.

For those who haven’t volunteered yet- sign up for FOCUS OC weekly emails to get up to date volunteer opportunities.

FOCUS Orange County is a local center of FOCUS North America, a national 501c3 nonprofit organization.
